Time goes by so freaking fast and now 2010 is almost over. This year is just too beautiful for me. Being in Germany during world cup 2010 was totally amazing. That was such an amazing time. I also traveled to many cities this year. Yeah, quite a lot. But the best trip in this year is this Saar-Lor-Lux trip with Eric. It was heaven. I went to Metz, Luxembourg and Trier. And the weather was so epic. And what else could be better than being an intern in Neunkircher Zoo! Damn, I miss this zoo!
Of course there are people who inspire me. Besides Tina Fey, these are 3 travelbloggers I admire this year.
1. Candice
We have one thing in common. We live in popular countries. She lives in Canada and I live in Germany. But, we don't live in popular cities with many tourist attractions. She lives in hmmm Newfoundland. I don't know I'm not really sure. But she doesn't live in cities like Toronto or Vancouver with lots of tourists. And I live in Saarland, a state on the border between Germany, France and Luxembourg which is also one of the smallest states in Germany. It is charming but unfortunately it doesn't attract many tourists unlike Munich, Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, etc. Candice posts the charms of her beloved Newfoundland. And her posts inspire me to write about Saarland as well until finally I decided to make this Saarland Destination of the Month to promote this region.
2. Nicky & Adam
Unfortunately the blog is no longer active since they have finished their trip from UK to Australia on an old motorbike. It had taken in fact more than a year to finish this trip. And I was so stunned everytime they posted a new post because their posts contain many beautiful pictures. And, they interact a lot with the locals. They've been through France, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, East Timor and Australia. They were in Indonesia! They were in my homeland! Lol I really wanna do the same someday. I just can't wait to end my puberty (LOL!) and finish my college and do this.
3. Earl
I just love his posts. He writes with many details and important infos about a destination. I started following his blog when he was in Syria. And his stories about travelling in the Middle East keep getting more interesting. I was like "Hell, I should immediately buy a plane ticket to Syria now and go through the same route!". And now he is in Iraq! He shows us that Iraq is not as dangerous as people imagine.
So, those are great travelbloggers of this year.
And, tonight I'm going to Paris woooohoo yeah! I'm going to update you with lots of pictures and stories from this beautiful city. Au revoir! and Merry Christmas!

Nice post, Mate! It's been long ago since my last visit to this blog. I'm reading it again. :)
I know you posted something on my FB wall, I got the notification in my email but sorry I can't open my account. Probably Facebook has been being blocked by Egyptian gov :) or another error. I will check it later once I can log in.
And I'm ok. The riots are quite far away from my neighborhood. Thanks for asking.
Oh I totally did not see this post, thanks so much! :) One of the biggest things I've learned as a travel writer is "write what you know." Become the authority, and opportunities come knocking!
