I just found an interesting song. It's Charlie Winston - In Your Hands. I never heard of this singer before. But when I first listened to the song, I fell in love with his music. His genre is quite different. It's like I don't know African Jazz or something like that. He has the same genre with Amy Winehouse. The music is unique and it tells about poverty - well a very rare issue for a song. He has a nice style. He is really a jazz artist. And, his voice is amazing. His voice sounds like my favorite singer, John Legend.
But the most interesting part of this song is its music video.
Somehow I think the choreography is inspired by Tari Saman (Saman Dance) from Aceh. Tari Saman is now popular. The dance deals with clapping hands and singing. The dance is not that easy. You need to practise a lot with your friends before performing.
Well I don't know if the choreographer was inspired by this dance. But I'd be glad if Tari Saman were the inspiration.
