Koblenz is an interesting town in Rheinland-Pfalz (eng. Rhineland-Palatinate). Why is that so interesting? Here, in this town, the 2 important rivers in Germany meet. These rivers are Rhein and Mosel. Without these 2 rivers, Germany cannot produce wines. Rhein and Mosel bring somehow appropiate heat for grape tree plantation.
Hey, isn't it interesting? My brother lives in Mainz (the Rhein passes through Mainz) and I live in Saarbruecken (the the Mosel passes through Saarbruecken). If there were no access from Mainz to Saarbruecken vice versa except by boat we would meet then in Koblenz!
I went to Koblenz with my friend, Gerry. Well, he used to live there for about 6 months. We departed from Saarbruecken Hauptbahnhof at 9 AM. We bought Saarland-Ticket. It costs 28 EUR max. 5 persons. You can travel by train (only Nahverkehr), bus and tram around Saarland and Rheinland-Pfalz for one day. The journey took about 2 hours 30 minutes. I enjoyed my journey there. The landscape is amazing. We can see a river and lots of grape tree plantation along the journey. And, there are so many trailers along the river. Beautiful.
We arrived at Koblenz at about 12. And, it was lunch time. So Gerry took me to eat the best Currywurst he has ever tasted. And, voila! It tasted so amazingly great. The shop's name is Broedis, situated in the central. I'm not so sure but I guess it's not really far from Loehr-Center.

Currywurst mit Broetchen 1,40 EUR
Then, we ate ice cream! It was so sunny and warm, and Gerry knows a great ice cafe named Gelosia. 2 scoops for 1,20 EUR. I guess it was the best ice cream I've ever had in Germany.

Tiramisu flavour is recommended!
And then, well the only and the most important destination in Koblenz, Deutsches Eck - where the Rhein and the Mosel meet. There is this large statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I too there.

The Rhein
And, they meet

You see, I was so blessed with a damn great weather. So, it was then beer time! We decided to kill the time by drinking beer in Biergarten am Deutschen Eck

Many travellers in fact are interested to visit Koblenz. Koblenz also has a nice Altstadt (old town). Well, actually there's nothing special because all european cities also have old town like this.

In the end, I really had a great time in Koblenz!
